ABOUT US

Chatam Management was founded in 1979 by Ram P. Gupta with a clear vision: to build and manage a portfolio of real estate assets with long-term value, integrity, and care. He believed that America rewards entrepreneurship and hard work, and found the New York real estate market to be a natural match for his energy, optimism, and passion.
As a privately held company, we continue to be proudly based in the Bronx, where Mr. Gupta and his family first laid down roots. We manage only what we own—focusing on residential and commercial assets across New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Florida. Our in-house, hands-on approach ensures that every property is maintained to the highest standards, honoring the legacy of our founder every day.

OUR HISTORY

Humble Beginnings

Born in 1943 in Ishwarapuram, a farming village in rural India, Ram Gupta grew up without basic necessities like electricity or running water. The nearest school was a five-mile walk away, an early challenge that instilled a lifelong drive to succeed and a profound commitment to giving back.
